Today I have the absolute pleasure to announce a couple of gorgeous new stockists of Emma Phillips Illustrations!

It is a family business run by the lovely Lynda and her husband Jamie, who spend countless hours together searching for  unique, beautiful and handmade gifts to offer to their customers. I am extremely excited to be involved with such a gorgeous company, who strive to offer their customers only ever the very best in product quality and pleasurable customer experience.

I am also very excited to be have the gorgeous Vintage Rose Country Interiors on board as a stockist! A pretty little shop in Somerset, Vintage Rose Country Interiors offers a wonderful range of painted vintage furniture, vintage style homewares, as well as plenty of other beautiful gifts and accessories. It is full to the brim with all things lovely and retro, and I am so happy to see my products surrounded with so many other charming things. If you are in the area, be sure to pop in, Kirstine and Steve would love to see you.

Swing tags for anywhere and... everywhere!

With the UK looking forward to a very exciting Summer, I felt inspired to create a range of products that celebrated all things nostalgic, British and wholesome. These two sets of swing tags are the first of these products to make it to my store, and are teasers if you like, as I get the rest of the range ready for release very soon.

Are you planning a party to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee? Perhaps a street party complete with traditional cakes, yards of bunting and plenty of tea? Then these tags would make the perfect finishing touch to your jars of home-made strawberry jam, bottles of pink lemonade or on goodie bags and gifts for the guests. They are available as packs of 6 tags and you can get your hands on them here and here, in plenty of time of your celebrations.

Well, hello again...

I know, I know, same old story. No-one turns up to blog for a little while and then all of a sudden, there's a relapse and they never leave you again. Well, I'm all for traditional stories but nevertheless I think I have a very good (and certainly very cute) excuse for my absence.

Just before Christmas, me and my partner took the mighty plunge and bought the gorgeous little kitten we had been talking about for months. It all happened incredibly suddenly, one night we found an advert on the internet, 10 minutes later Cameron (my boyfriend) was on the phone to the breeder and within the next 20 minutes we were sitting in his flat surrounded by the most lovely animals I have ever seen.

Despite having originally gone to see a different kitten entirely, we both fell hook, line and sinker in love with our little guy and brought him home the very next morning.

Our mischievious little Bengal called Chase, I do have to admit that he looks a little bit bigger than this now though. We had a few teething problems with him, hence the severe lack of blogging, but all is sorted out now and every morning I look forward to waking up and him saying good morning. Now all I have to do is train him to bring me a cup of tea too... it didn't work on the other half though.

So, alongside a brand new arrival in my life, Christmas, a new year beginning and a fair amount of parties, I have been working on more exciting ideas and soon-to-be products for the brand.

We have a lovely new print 'Below the Blossom' which can be bought in the shop here.

Every time I look at it I remember that Spring WILL be here at some point. You can also get this design on one of my brand new greeting cards, also now available in my Etsy shop, which I just love.

Christmas goodies have finally FINALLY arrived and they look fantastic! Needless to say they have been the cause of a little bit of stress, so it feels great to have them in my hands and available to you.

It is never too early to start shopping for Christmas, I know I have had a few close calls. Check out these items now in my shop, I will see you over there. http://www.etsy.com/shop/EmmaLouPhillips?ref=si_shop

Hi...

It has been a difficult couple of months but hey, I'm still here. Now nearly fully recovered from injury and from illustrating my first EVER children's book (much more about this very soon), I have had a bit of time to relax and rewind before getting back into the swing of things. And swing I must!

A few weeks ago, a major scald to my right hand and wrist meant that drawing/writing/doing anything was virtually impossible. Bandaged up and on quite a heavy dose of painkillers, I was forced to take it easy for a while which certainly led to some serious thinking time. Have you ever realised just how valuable being made to sit back and take stock of your life can be? Especially as you approach yet another birthday...

But I have now come through the other side. My hand won't heal completely for a little while, but I have my movement back and it's now time to put those thoughts and plans into action.

Oh, and should anyone special check out this blog for hints on said 'birthday', I would loooove this gorgeous Orla Kiely radio, it would look fantastic in my kitchen. For too long now I have needed a fashionable way to listen to music whilst I do my daily pottering.
